Suns vs Clippers - Game 6

4cwebb

Starter
Clippers in control and up by ten early in the 3rd quarter. Suns are not shooting the ball well, and the Clippers offense seems to be able to get whatever shot it wants.

QRoss killing Steve Nash with his offense with 14 points in the first half.

Yeah Ross is putting on a clinic. He already has his career high with the Suns trying to hide Nash on him.

EB would look so good in a Kings uni.

Okay, did I miss something? Sam Cassell is acting as though he was run over by a very large truck. Cuttino goes over and dabs a towel at an invisible spot...

Talk about theatrics...

Man, Quinton Ross! Guy is a defensive specialist, yet is killing the Suns, looking an offensive stud, while staying active on d. Steve Nash matched up with him or not. Never would of thought he'd score this much. Brand/Maggette have also been big. While Barbosa/Marion have been the keys for Suns.

I didn't see anything, either, but Sam's known to play to the refs.

Suns aren't going to even get back into this game without playing some defense. They're not shooting the ball very well, either.

That's what I thought. And yet, miraculously, a couple more drops of the magic eye elixir, and he's fine again...

suns not shooting well at all. ross with a big game indeed. i really like barbosa, the guy was on fire earlier. marion is very solid, as usual

Clippers are shooting 64% and are outrebounding the Suns +15. Kaman has a double double and has made all of his FGs. Brand and Ross both are shooting over 50%.

This game should be over already.

Big sequence the last two plays: Brand gets a block on a Barbosa layup attempt that would have cut the lead to 9, then Maggette goes to the hole and gets a three point play to push the lead back to 14.

Something for Diaw to improve upon next year will be his ability to finish inside. Reason that guy gets so many assists is because he's passing up shots from in close because he's not able to make his short shot attempts to kick the ball out to three point shooters.

Suns have missed a bunch of layups in this game. Game 7 on the way...

great win by the clippers. they are KILLING the suns inside. brand is a BEAST! great mismatch ross guarded by nash. make nash play D! wear him OUT!

the suns can only win if they hit their 3's. not a given. nash looks lethargic out there, his shot is flat. game 7 is monday that might help.

GO CLIPPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clippers are pretty much the antithesis of the Lakers now. They play team ball, they're balanced, fun to watch, they're a winning team, and they're finally coming out from under the Lakers shadow and have outlasted them. It's beautiful.

How funny is it that Kobe is considered the most selfish player in the league while EB wins the sportsmanship award?

Suns just looked tired to me. They're not playing their game and you have to credit the Clips for doing that. I don't know why they're not playing till Sunday but I think the rest will do Suns a lot of good and they'll win.

Clippers did great whether the Suns were tired or not, thats their problem ! I hope that they can win on Sunday. GO CLIPPERS!!!!!

Clips have taken the Suns to game 7....same thing the Lakers did. And you're kidding yourself if you think the Clippers have "finally come out from under the Lakers shadow"...have you been to Staples?? Every banner hanging is purple and gold...for god's sakes..the seats are purple!! Having the 2nd youngest team in the league, the Lakers got farther than most, including the "experts" even thought. So the Clippers "outlasted" them...for the first time in history..good for them. If you want to jump on the Clipper bandwagon, go right ahead...I'll stick with the Lakers, who I'll wager, will be back on top before the Clippers even sniff a championship.:)
