sports illustrated champion packages

has anyone ever ordered a subscription to sports illustrated just to get the championship package of stuff (i.e. hardcover book, team's DVD, and some sort of collectible ball)? if so, are the items actually of decent quality or are they junk?

**ETA: Mods please move to the appropriate forum, sorry!

No, but I do have the hardcover book from the UofA '97 Season/Title run. My dad gave it to me, not sure how he got it but it wasn't a subscription. Perhaps it was offered to alumni. Its kind of nice to have for something like a team's one and only championship and if you're going to subscribe anyways, why not? I used to subscribe 15-20 years ago and the non-book stuff then was plastic junk.

I've been a subscriber to SI for years...and years...and years. I've gotten sweatshirts, old-fashioned t-shirts, sports bags, blankets, windbreakers, and a 49er bobblehead among other items. All are of good quality.

Well in that case it could be made from diamonds and platinum and it would still go straight to the garbage :)
