single game tickets

the good news is that i got a intern in folsom,ca and am supposed to be there till the end of december. am hoping to go to atleast 5 kings games... need to make use of the opportunity.

i know that there is the sell out record thing going on at arco.. so how difficult is it to get tickets for individual games... do i need to start buying months in advance?

u cant really buy months in advance, they go on sale on a set date at a set time....usually about 2 months before the season starts, and theres ppl waiting online @ the time on ticketmaster.com and thats when the majority of the tickets sell out

Single game tickets are also released via ticketmaster or the box office either the day before or day of the game. It's an NBA rule, they have to release X amount of tickets. I have a feeling they aren't going to be as hard to get this year.

If you watch rivercitytickets.com, ebay, and the newspaper during the season - you can get tickets without paying much, if any premium.

Also, if you just show up at Arco with cash (and a take it or leave it attitude), you can score tickets at or below the regular price from scalpers. I've done this for basketball games, rock concerts, even an NFL playoff game once in San Diego.... I have never left empty handed and have often paid below the printed price. If you don't care where you sit, you are in the drivers seat at 2 minutes till tipoff. They have to give them to you for printed price, or eat them.

Have fun!

yea like kingsgurl said , i think this season wont be as hard to get..and for some reason, i also have a hunch that the sellout streak may end.......unless we get a big name in the offseason

Not sure if the sell out streak will end. There are ways around that, and you can bet the Maloofs will use them for as long as possible.

thanx for the info guys. hopefully i will be able to go to atleast a couple of games.
The key is timing. Everyone wants tickets especially for single games. If I lived a little closer to Sac I would try to get tickets too but its hard.

During their last sell-out streak, how many years did they just pay the 5% to the league office to keep the streak "official?" It seemed it was a couple and they only stopped it because it was so blatantly false.
