The difference being, of course, that most of those things you don't eat every day...or twice a day...or 4 times a day...

Seriously...think about how many cans of soda some people drink in a day. Then think about the cup sizes at many of those mini-marts. Not good.
Honestly, I really only care about this because I'm a teacher and I see EVERY DAY how many sodas kids drink. Take the vending machines away at school and they just bring it from home...bought by their parents. Not good for learning, let me tell you...

I guess the trick is getting sodas to be considered a treat, not a water substitute. But it goes back to the old problem. 64 oz of soda costs $1.50 and milk or orange juice costs at least double if not triple that.
