In a deal that was finalized about 11:10 a.m., the Sonics received Watson and forward Bryon Russell and a future Nuggets second-round pick. The Nuggets receive forward Reggie Evans from the Sonics and guards Ruben Patterson and Charles Smith from Portland while the Trail Blazers originally received center Vitaly Potapenko from Seattle and disgruntled guard Voshon Leonard from Denver. The Blazers immediately sent Potapenko along with forward Sergei Monia to Sacramento for forward Brian Skinner.
