I heard on ESPN that there are rumors that Benitez might end up with the Giants, anyone else hear about this?

And Pedro Martinez was offered by the Mets..?

man if we had him last year we would have won the west by 7 games at least. just having a LEGIT closer is going to give the giants a huge boost.

should get very intresting if the giants make the playoffs, benitez has had TONS of f-rod moments ( JT game 2 anyone ) now it's time to add pop to the line up with finely or dye. and THEN maybe THEN i won't be so disappointed with giants brass.

I'm excited about what the Giants are doing and I heard Sabean on the radio yesterday saying he plans on getting a legit outfielder.

Best case scenario (for me) - Carlos Beltran
Scenarios that can actually be done - JD Drew or Magglio

I also hope they can a little help in the rotation.

What about another starter to complement Jason?
Then again, had the Giants had Benitez in the bullpen last summer, Jason could have won 20+ games without all those blown leads.
