Okay, now I have seen it all. There is a women-only roller ball league with teams in Sacramento and Chico. Here is one of their websites:

More info. Apparently, Rollerball is illegal within Sacramento City limits, so even though there are Sacramento teams, they will have to play in Chico.

Oh, I don't think so. It is an all women's sport now and I think they play for real. It is kind of an urban-women's-extreme sport thing. They all have fake names and stuff, but I think the game is played for real.
