The Sacramento Kings are close to reaching agreement with guard Jimmer Fredette on a contract buyout, acccording to a report on Tuesday. Fredette, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, has struggled to find playing time with the Kings this season. The Kings determined before this season that they would not renew the team option on Fredette's contract of $3.1 million for 2014-15, Yahoo! Sports reported. The Kings were unable to make a deal for Fredette at the trade deadline last week and decided to work toward a departure agreement that would make him a free agent.
