The Wizards are far from securing a playoff berth, though it's impossible to deny they're in strong position to do just that. Washington (30-28) enters Saturday fifth in the Eastern Conference, two games behind the Chicago Bulls and with 24 games remaining. For the Bulls, apparently that means adding a former college hoops folk hero, one armed with a strong perimeter touch. Once Jimmer Fredette, previously with the Sacramento Kings, clears waivers on Sunday, the third-year guard will reportedly sign with Chicago, USA Today reports.The Wizards and Bulls would meet in the first round of the playoffs if the season ended today.
