Rockmeister asked:
Why did Yo only play 9 minutes? Why did Yo have a technical?

This is what this morning's Sacramento Bee said, regarding Yo Griffith's technical:

...The first-place Monarchs (12-5) did without Griffith for most of the game after the veteran center lost her cool with 6:59 remaining in the first half. Scoreless after having missed all five of her shot attempts, Griffith was called for a foul against Shannon Johnson and voiced her frustration to referee Amy Bonner.

Not known as a hothead, Griffith sarcastically said to the official, "It's about time you called something." Bonner ejected her without warning, rapidly issuing two technicals. It was the first ejection in Griffith's seven-year WNBA career and the first time she'd been held scoreless since July 3, 2001, against Minnesota.

Griffith, who plans to appeal any fine resulting from the ejection, was pleased by how her teammates responded. "Maybe I needed a break. It doesn't matter who scores, as long as we play team basketball," she said. "We won - that's all that matters."

Should that referee gave Yo a warning? Perhaps Yo probably would not have been tossed out of the game?
