Injury Report (as of 2pm ET):
Mavericks:
Anthony Davis- PROBABLE (adductor)
Brandon Williams - QUESTIONABLE (oblique)
Kyrie Irving - OUT FOR SEASON (knee)
Olivier-Maxence Prosper - OUT FOR SEASON (wrist)

Kings:
Jake LaRavia - OUT (thumb)
Malik Monk - OUT (calf)

Referee Assignments:
Marc Davis (#8 - Crew Chief), Ben Taylor (#46), Brian Forte (#45). Fifty-seven years combined experience.

Mister Slim Says: Anthony Davis went into the 2024-25 NBA season winless for his career head-to-head versus Domantas Sabonis. But then the Kings lost the battle of dueling curses, as LeBron's dominance over DeMar DeRozan proved to be more powerful than Sabonis' dominance over Davis. Well, now Davis is no longer LeBron's teammate, so we'll get to see if Sabonis' juju returns as the Kings seek to keep their playoff hopes alive by beating Dallas tonight. Sacramento swept the Mavericks during the regular season series, but did not play a single game against them with Davis on the roster.

This is a game that, on paper, the Kings should win, and they are considered the betting favorite. Which is exactly the sort of thing that should fill Kings fans with dread.

Just so you know how Vivek treats customers. This is from my season ticket partner.

The playoffs tickets prices for season ticket holders who did not renew were astounding. They are well over double a regular season game. They are more than they are charging the general public. Then they will not even let me list them on ticketmaster for the price I paid for them if I wanted to sell them.

Then on top of that they offer $40 upper level seats to anyone tonight.

I tend to dislike bananas in general but there’s a local restaurant here ( Frank Fats) that makes a delicious banana cream pie

I enjoy a nice banana bread and if pancakes weren't available that would have been my choice but c'mon now. I'm putting them on pancakes. I enjoy a good banana split too.

Interestingly when I lived in New England I would have strange allergic reactions to bananas. Most of them were just a pleasant tingling in my lip kind of like a scratchy novocaine but one time I broke out in hives. Not sure why this has almost never happened on the West Coast.

Are these prices different than the prices for season ticket holders who did renew?

I'm told that most bananas shipped east are packed in the same crates as the fugu, so that may explain things.

When Timbers hosted MLS cup in 2021 they put renewals in a priority queue over non-renewals and when my number came up I was charged double as my "face value" price.

That was enough to be the final straw not to renew as a pre-MLS "Axe Society" member. If being a day-one STH counted for nothing, there was no FOMO in going the go-only-when-I-feel-like-it route. Coincidentally as it turns out, I have not felt like it since that match.

So yeah, I'm sure Kings along with every single franchise across all of sports are doing it as a means to strong arm renewals too.

Double a regular season game? Like, a Monday vs Charlotte or just your average cost for the whole season? Because everything I've seen says premium regular season games like the recent Celtics game were priced way higher than this play in game.

Surprising you blame Vivek for ticket pricing but not personnel decisions....nah, no it's not lol. I'll be there tonight wishing OMax was on our side to lead us to the championship instead of Dallas.

Go Kings!

OMax is injured so the revolution will not be occurring tonight at the very least.

No Monk, No LaRavia but i think we'll find a way. I hope lol seems like things have been trending in a nice direction so i hope they go all out for Kings fans tonight. They freaking deserve a show tonight on both ends. GO KINGS!

Let Davis get his 30 just keep the other guys in check. The last play in game Klay was 0-10 so he’s gonna be looking to redeem himself.
Idk. I wouldn't want AD to be super confident on the offensive end, because that tends to fill up his lackluster motor on both ends of the court. The last thing you want is him flying all over the court and blocking every shot in sight

Since I am unable to catch the (almost) live action, I will depend on you guys to answer questions such as: Who is covering Anthony Davis? Is Sabonis being aggressive in guarding the lane? Is either team playing a zone? Is the ball moving on offense?

Hoping for a hot start and a strong finish tonight.

My tickets were $65 higher than my average ticket.
