SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Point guard Tyreke Evans scored a game-high 25 points and added 12 assists, including two during a late 12-2 run that helped the New Orleans Pelicans break open a tight affair and beat the Sacramento Kings 113-100 on Monday night at Sleep Train Arena. Evans, the former Kings point guard who was making his return to the city he called home during his first four NBA seasons, set up Alexis Ajinca with a layup down low, and then set up forward Ryan Anderson for a 3-pointer during New Orleans' late run, which came after the teams were tied 92-92 with 5:35 left. Forward Anthony Davis finished with 19 points, guard Jrue Holliday had 17 and guard Eric Gordon added 17. Center DeMarcus Cousins scored a game-high 24 points and tallied 14 rebounds for Sacramento, which lost for the sixth time in eight games.
