I love the talent on the Aussie team, but you're right about the uniforms. Bad design and the colors are not even from the Australian flag's colors!

Who the hell designed their unis? Was it someone who got stuck in the 1970's?

They look like something out of the old WBL league from the late 70's/early 80's! At least, back then, I would give those unis a break!

Question on Photo #31.

I know that's Pat Summitt on the left. But who are the other three? I have a hunch they are retired college coaches. I'm pretty sure the one on the right (wearing a red shirt) is NOT Anne Donovan.

Personally speaking, I love the website's photos of the games, but I would like it more if there was a description of who is in the photos!

The coaches in the photo are Pat Summitt, unknown, Sylvia Hatchell (University of North Carolina) and Gail Goestenkoers (Duke). GG is an assistant on the US squad.

Agreed. I still have a tape of a game (CT Sun vs. Washington Mystics) from earlier this year. I just love watching this feisty little Aussie gal play! She can get knocked down, but she just keeps coming back to play! I wish we had her. [sigh]

By the way, thanks to you and to Stever for helping ID-ing the other college coaches, standing next to Pat Summitt! I figured they were college coaches, but since I don't get a chance to see that many collegiate games on TV, I have little idea what they look like! However, I'm planning to see more such college games next season!
