The Cavs might do it because they have no cap room to sign somebody good. But the Magic probably won't because they'd much rather dip into FA and sign Vince Carter. If they can't sign somebody good this summer they'll probably save the cap space for another superstar FA next summer, since they have a very young team that can wait a couple of yrs. Plus the Magic desperately want a wing player who can knock down threes and Larry Hughes is not that type of player.

Ultimately, the Magic still prefers a SF to a SG because they are very high on JJ Redick.

While I'm inclined to agree with you, that's not necessarily a given. Just look at the difficulty Portland (also a young, rebuilding team not looking to add too much $$) has had moving Magloire's expiring deal.
 
Didn't Bricklayer post pretty much this exact trade? Anyway, there's no way Orlando would take on Hughes when they could go after Vince Carter or Gerald Wallace in the offseason.
