So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

everyone has quit. what the hell happened. Domas getting hurt broke something, but it was even worse when Zach took that random night off and has been ass ever since. Is his family ok? Does he just not want to be here? I don't really know and I've had to turn off Kings people on other social media because they are vultures who seem to be enjoying every minute of this.

Sam Amick said on the Carmichael Dave show that he got so much hate for his article weeks ago that hammered the franchise and specifically Vivek. He said it’s so weird that there is a growing group of kings fans who don’t want to hear about the bad stuff going on in the organization. I’m seeing it now on social media.

Looks like the players have finally caught up to the desolate level that the Kings organization, media and fans were at.

Derozan thinks anyone is trading for him lol it’s gonna be tough to get more than second rounders and fillers. I have no problem trading Sabonis hard to win with a defensive liability at center unless it’s Jokić and even in the championship run he played good defense.
I'll charity bet whatever you want that we trade DDR for a "positive" package. Meaning more than just slop or just 2nds as you stated

I think Domas and Derozan need to look into the mirror and ask themselves about their part in actually making teams playoff winners. Not like they haven’t had talent around them.
Why is this a narrative now around here? Did you not watch Kings basketball the last 3 years? How many times was Domas literally the only guy out there competing while the rest of the team took a game off (or months off, in Fox's case).

I refuse any Domas slander. If we have to move on from him, sucks, but this guy is one of the best players in our franchise history and it's an organizational failure if they couldn't put the right pieces around him. He did his part.

He's worth 22% of your salary cap and he's getting 16%. He just needs to be on a team that can hide his defensive issues, and that ain't us.

I mean, we've shown successful LU's with DDR, but we just don't play it all that often. Just best to move off him anyway with us going nowhere while he still has real value and before father time gets him.

DeMar will have value, at least enough to get something and cut salary. His contract is still really decent for his productivity level and he's got a ton of respect around the league.

Exactly, it is what it is and if it's time to move on, it's time. If anything this makes the bungling of Cuz all those years feel even worse. Cuz was by far a superior talent and never got a decent team built around him ever. Imagine a prime Cuz with a LaVine, Monk, and DDR around him? Even if the defense would have been suspect that's some serious talent.

Perhaps I should have said, "He needs to be on a team that WILL hide his defensive issues, and TOO OFTEN that ain't us." ;)

Can't help but wonder if the owner and his crowd sourcing group are pushing this

Sam Amick said that he has no idea what direction The Kings are moving. My guess is The executives have no idea either, ergo the reasons why Domas and DDR are going to have some tough conversations for clarification as the players certainly have no idea. Nobody has any idea. I miss the days when I trusted in Geoff Petrie. Nowadays, it’s a crapshoot and it’s like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates…”you never know what you’re gonna get”.

Why should they have a clear idea though? They just had to deal with a star demanding to go and those always have to be a sort of wait and see thing. Success should be the guide in that scenario and so far... well, lol, one path forward seems to be more illuminated than the other so to speak. The good thing still is that Monte didn't just trot down one path when he was at the fork in the road in the trade. He got an all star level talent in return, some draft capital, didn't send anything of value out other than Fox, and didn't make any stupid moves that were short sighted in order to just maintain a play in spot. Every move he made was a discount why not type of move. For people thinking the Kings really bungled it with LaVines contract, the fact is the Kings regardless aren't likely going to be a legit cap team any time soon and even if they could so what? Rebuilding teams shouldn't be spending cap to begin with unless it's to hold onto their homegrown talent and you don't need space to do that anyway. This teams "rebuilds" have consistently be derailed with middling win now moves that push the developing talent out of position at times.

And him being on the Kings sitting in the same no minutes rookie chair would have done what? We've seen Jones actually contribute to wins and still get no minutes, lol. Big time same with Carter.
Ware is a starter on a playoff team jones can’t get minutes on a below average team, there not on the same tier talent wise. Ware would’ve played we were in desperate need of a big even before Lyle’s got hurt. Carter plays a position that we’re loaded at and even then he still isn’t better than Ware

This isn't about them it's about the Kings and the usage of rookies this season. If you think Ware is getting time over the vets then I disagree, even if he should. And a starter on a playoff team? They're in the play in too while in a much weaker conference.

Why wouldn’t Ware get minutes over Alex Len? We had no bigs behind Sabonis and Ware would’ve provided shot blocking which we lacked. With the way brown was searching for a starter there’s a small chance he even started next to Sabonis from the start.

Miami isn’t losing to Washington down all there vets and starters in the fourth

Well, to be honest Im not sure Ware would have been developed here as he has been in Miami.

Just the thought of a long mobile 7 footer who blocks shots and can hit some 3’s……9’4.5” standing reach………..that’s a player the Kings could use in the rotation.

Now this is not to take away from Devin Carter. He has a nice up side as well.

Because Alex Len hardly played. You're comparing Ware averaging rotation level minutes to a position averaging less than 10. This is the same reason people thought Huerter was garbage. The only players that actually ever positively impact a game in limited minutes are defenders and rebounders but that doesn't mean they necessarily pop off the screen or produce, Ware would certainly help more than some but play Carter 30 minutes a game and see what he does himself. Playing guys those 8-10 mpg stretches never lets players truly pop.
