I just got an email from the Kings which in summary is as follows:
New technology has allowed us to respond to your feedback by redesigning and combining the playoff and regular season ticket renewal processes to provide all of these features for you.
2006 NBA Playoffs – "Pay Per Play"
"Pay per play" is good since in years past one had to send in the dollar equivalent of the price of a full season ticket for all the potential playoff games up and including the championship game. One would end up having to wait weeks on end to get the refund OR if you really didn't need the money one could just apply that to next season's ticket cost.
As far as the season ticket automatic monthly payment... that's OK too.... EXCEPT I think it's awfully presumptuous and arrogant to be asking for next season's money when this season isn't over with yet. Any time to evaluate the team's regular & playoff season's perormance before committing to another season of unquestioned devotion and increased ticket prices?? Not with this new policy....It's obvious... with pay per play, they won't have as much playoff money to work into the cash flow, and have to get it somewhere else.
