Is this seriously one of the worst pregame segments anyone has ever seen? I have not witnessed anything more horrible than Stuart Scott, Jon Barry, Michael Wilbon, and Magic Johnson together..

I mean seriously there is like 5 minutes of actual basketball analysis

It is totally the opposite of good to the nth power

I actually really like Wilbon, he's one of my favorite analysts. I'm a fan of PTI however.

Don't care too much for the others. Scott should just go back to hosting Stump the Schwab, and Magic and Barry should enjoy their retirement

i agree. i like wilbon and scott. the thing is when compared to inside the nba on tnt, they just dont compare to ej, kenny and charles (and cwebb sometimes). i dont think shootaround is horrible, but when you see tnt's show every other day, it leaves a lot to be desired.

That's the sign of the times for panel shows. They even engage in stupid banter on the Today Show and the news. That's a format element you can credit Howard Stern for popularizing. Barkley, Ernie and Kenny are the ones who began this in the NBA circuit (check footage of NBA on TNT from back in the day, they actually showed highlights and covered the league, Sager wore normal clothes, believe it or not). Now ABC, BSPN, and NBA TV all have their chucklehead panels.

PS: I don't care who it is, NOOOOTHING is more obnoxious than Payton on NBA TV. He's like listening to your neighbor's leaf blower at 7:30 on Sunday morn.

As for Magic, it's confusing as hell to me how he was so brilliant on the court, yet he can't convey anything of interest (regardless of his stammering).

The thing about TNT though is they still actually have analysis. You'll see Kenny talk about a play or something else at times, and draw stuff up. The thing with the guys on ABC and ESPN is they're just absolutely awful. Especially Mark Jackson. That guy makes me want to stab myself in the ears, every time someone makes a play he yells "ZOMG MOM THERE GOES THAT MAN".
