Kings Coach Rick Adelman
"We gave them too many easy baskets in the first half. Some guys got tired in the second half and they took advantage of it. They did what they had to do to win. They got lobs, got transition baskets, and got offensive rebounds. They had 38 points in the paint in the first half. If we don’t play better on Friday night, they will do the same thing to us again. We did a pretty good job in the third quarter, but we have to do it for the whole game. "

"They executed more and they just wanted it more. We started 1-4 last year and now we just need to start playing like we can. After a game like this, you’re always anxious to get back and play a game. It just happens that our next game is against them. We just didn’t finish the game out and we need to come out and play an entire game. "

"We didn’t make some shots, and they made some shots, and we also made some crucial turnovers. A lot of times we took a lot of long shots and they got a lot of long rebounds along with our turnovers. And they made a nice run on us when the score was like 85-85 or 87-87. We look at our schedule and we’ve played some good teams. We’ve played legitimate playoff teams. I’m not concerned and I think we’ll get it together. We’ve got a game Friday and we’ve just got to turn it around. They won the game at their house, and now we’ve got to win our game."

George Karl:
"This looked like the team I coached last year. We looked good on defense in the fourth quarter, anytime you can hold Sacramento to nine points in the fourth quarter you’re doing a great job. Really can’t complain about our offense, but we could pass a little bit more. Marcus is a great presence in the middle. He was shooting well tonight also. I think Najera played well and Earl was Earl. I would like our team as a whole to penetrate more, the game is changing and we need to change with it. It’s the easiest way to draw the foul and to score."

Carmello Anthony:
Our goal was to get more aggressive in the second half. We didn’t want to get into a shoot-out with them down the stretch. Marcus always holds us down in the middle, when he gets going, we definitely follow him. It was definitely a must win for us, we didn’t want to go into Sacramento 1-4. Playing a team back to back it’s hard, it’s a mental game. We all know what each other’s going to do.

Marcus Camby :
As a whole, I think we had them at nine or ten points in the fourth quarter. Coach has been stressing that we get aggressive on the defensive end. For the most part, in the second half, we did a pretty good job. I think guys played as one, it started with our point guard Andre (Miller). I think he almost had a triple-double. He set the tone getting guys involved early. Our defense took over down the stretch. They have a good offensive team, but guys stepped up down the stretch and played for each other, passed the ball to each other. Its always good and fun to play that way.
