Nate Robinson and Jerome James

#1
The tallest Knick, Jerome James, a 7-foot-1, 29-year-old veteran, fought with the 21-year-old rookie Nate Robinson, at 5-9 the team's shortest player. After they were separated, the two tried to go back at each other.

They later shrugged off the encounter. At the end of practice, James hugged Robinson before rubbing his head, then kissing it.

To Brown, everything is still a work in progress - even the starting lineup.

"Everybody is being auditioned right now," he said.

Nate rules.

Jerome sure is being productive and living up to that (crazy) contract ;). I'm surprised he didn't get all ready and set for this season with a (at the time) starting spot on the Knicks, and a big contract. Larry hasn't spoken too highly of him yet either.

Edit: Wonder how Jerome can do today against the Warriors, Larry is giving him the first-time start. Larry continuing to see what's going with some of his guys...

Was a bad signing, mainly due to the fact they have Curry. Obviously they didn't know they had a chance at curry when they signed Jerome.

Can't say I actually miss Jerome here.

rookie Johan Petro is proving to be even better than Jerome was for us last year.

Because Petro is and will be better than Jerome, and his whole career. I'm intrigued by him.

I disagree about them going nowhere, they just need to gel and get somethings down like a lot of other teams. Not saying they'll go deep in the playoffs, but make them at least. They have a good roster, that should be competitive.

I, on the other hand, agree about them going nowhere, but strongly disagree about Larry Brown being overrated. No one who could coach the mid-90's Clippers to the playoffs will ever be overrated, as far as I'm concerned. Hell, he took a team built around Allen F. Iverson to the NBA Finals; other coaches, with more talent surrounding Iverson, have failed to even get that team into the playoffs.
