I recently went to a coffee company website because I read that Diana Taurasi appeared on the company's TV commercial. Considering Taurasi's popularity, I am not suprised she appeared in it, even though I never heard of the brand name before.
It was for Eight O'Clock coffee, which is not available in California.
The commercial was cute, but it got me wondering: has any Monarchs player appeared in a print ad or TV commercial? (Not including the Monarchs' or WNBA's own spots, or the new 'Wheaties' box)
I know Ruthie (and Sacramento King Bobby Jackson) appeared on a credit union billboard ad in 2004, which can be seen here:

Recently, someone mentioned that Ticha has endorsed a local juice store. Can't remember the name of the place, but I don't know if this endorsement will include her image or likeness on a poster or billboard ad.
Does anyone know of any other Monarchs or ex-Monarchs appearing on ads?
Now that the Monarchs have a WNBA title under their belt, perhaps this is a good time to get more of their players to make some local business ads?
Right now, most of the players are either on vacation or playing overseas. So, my guess is if the players start appearing in local ads, they'll probably show them next year when the '06 WNBA season arrives.
As for the Taurasi commercial, here it is. But you'll need Windows Media Player to see it:
