Monarchs MVP Road Trip to Phoenix

#1
Hey All....Got a schedule in the mail last week, and they listed this years MVP Road Trip will go to Phoenix for their opening night - May 21st. The only thing mentioned was May 20-21st. And further details to be announced soon.

Not sure if I can make that trip, but I heard AmericaWest Arena is a very nice arena.....

And on another Phoenix note....Kamila Vodichkova signed an offer sheet with Phoenix...Seattle has 10 days to match it....oh boy....

Hmmm.....on the one hand...HELL YEAH, I was afraid we were headed to LA or Seattle again, but on the other hand, that's going to be a very tight squeeze for me too, I'm obligated to be back in Sacramento late afternoon that Sunday. I'm going to have to justify this in my mind somehow....(not that I'm going to take all that convincing ;))

We have a hard time with Vodichkova, I'd hate to see Phoenix get her away from Seattle with the shooters they have, all they need is somebody to be very authoritative on the boards and they can make major noise in the West, with a duly rested Taurasi for a full season. Having to deal with her in Seattle was bad enough. I wish somebody in the Eastern conference wanted her that bad.

I just got finished planning an extended vacation to include the Phoenix game -- Grand Canyon, Sedona, Phoenix and Vegas!!! I'm ready. Is it May yet?

Pink Poodle Adventures has booked a block of rooms at the Sheraton Four Points at Metro Center in Phoenix for May 20 and 21. Rooms are only $65/night. This hotel is not in the downtown area -- you'll need to find transportation to the arena -- but it is in a nice area with a mall and tons of restaurants in walking distance. If you are interested in getting one of these rooms (they're basically half the price of some of the downtown hotels), contact Jayne at pinkpoodleadventures@hotmail.com

I'm ready for the season to begin! Is it May yet? (oh, I already asked that question.....)

 Sure wish I could make this road trip. We have plans to attend the All-Star game in Conn. this summer.

Back in 98 we did attend the 1st ever Wnba All-star game in Phoenix. That was a thrill. Since then the East has hosted all other All-Star games. We need to bring it back west soon!

Have fun everyone. Pink Poddle set up our flights to Conn. A fine choice.

Happy to see Yo is still a Monarch!!!!
