Since Atlanta is on the Eastern Time Zone (which would be 11:00 a.m. Atlanta time), I can only presume the Dream are having their own "Camp Day". That should explain the early start.
I wonder if Monty the Mascot will be going over there in Atlanta, along with some other WNBA mascots, just like our own will have next Thursday?
My big concern is complacency. The Monarchs did a great job upsetting a better team (Detroit), but now are facing a first-year expansion team that might be a bit better than their 3-21 record indicates. Also, the M's had a big lead the last time we played against Atlanta, and they nearly gave the game away, on our home court. I think this game could represent a mental "trap" for the M's if they don't watch out. Just my opinion.
Here's my predictions...
Game score: Monarchs win, 78-72
Top Monarchs scorer: Ka-Powell, 18
Top Monarchs rebounds: Brunson, 6
Top Monarchs assists: Ticha, 7
Top Monarchs blocks: Harper, 2
Top Monarchs steals: Ticha, 3
Monarchs turnovers (TO) - 17
Monarchs field goal % - 44%
Monarchs 3 pt. % - 34%
Monarchs free throw % - 80%
