Dang! 3 of the 4 regional finals go to OT. This is great basketball folks.

Kentucky hits a 3 pt shot as time ran out (which they reviewed over and over again) in regulation.

We are going to OT folks!!

i haven't watched much NCAA action this year...but watching this game reminded me how much i feel bad for the teams that lose...always! More so than watching teams go down in the NBA during PO time (with the exception of the times that the Kings went down ofcourse)...i really wanted to bust through the TV and give them all a hug...:sigh:

I was reading some articles on Kentucky...and I read this article:

Rondo gets helping hand from Bibby

By Michael Smithand Michael Grant
The Courier-Journal

AUSTIN, Texas -- Mike Bibby, a point guard with the Sacramento Kings, unwittingly has become the inspiration for University of Kentucky point guard Rajon Rondo.

Every time Rondo is asked about being a freshman point guard in the NCAA Tournament, he responds by saying that Bibby led Arizona to the 1997 championship and that he can do the same.

"Mike Bibby showed that it can be done," Rondo said.

Rondo got to know Bibby last year when he spent a week in Sacramento working out with the National Basketball Association star. Rondo's former coach at Eastern High School, Doug Bibby, is a cousin of Mike Bibby and helped bring the two together.

"When I talk to Mike, he just reminds me that I'm a freshman and nobody is expecting me to win the national championship," Rondo said. "They expect me not to do it. He says not to feel the pressure, and I don't feel any."

Rondo said he plans to work with Mike Bibby this summer, especially on his jump shot.

Nice to hear Bibby helping out other players! :D Even though Kentucky lost, I thought Rondo had a good game. Also my guy, Chuck Hayes.

^ thats cool i had no idea. I think in 3 years rondo will be pretty much unstoppable (especially if he works with bibby) who knows maybe he'll be with the kings sometime in the near future.
p.s i feel so bad for patrick sparks that was an unbeleivable shot i just wish he couldve done some more of that in the overtimes. oh well next year

speaking of sparks amazing shot, wow...i (sadly) didnt get to watch that game because i was over at my grandparents house(for easter, even tho i dont celebrate it personally), but when i saw the replay i couldnt believe they didn't call a foul on that Mich St. guy...he obviously body-checked sparks, even tho he tryed to stop himself and sparks had time to readjust and get a good shot off...i also think sparks was beyond the three point line, so he shoud hav had a shot to win the game...its too bad they lost
