Nuggets off to 13-15 start

The Denver Nuggets, off to a 13-15 start, fired coach Jeff Bzdelik on Tuesday.
The team scheduled a 1:30 p.m. ET news conference.
"We felt we needed a change. I want to thank Jeff for all the hard work. He's a big part in turning this around," Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe told the Post. "But we want to build to the next level, and the team wasn't going in the right direction. Sometimes, you can use a change or a new voice."
Assistant coach Michael Cooper, who has a two-year contract and an option for a third year with Denver, could take over the team, the Post reported.
Cooper, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers, coached the WNBA Los Angeles Sparks to a 116-31 record and four playoff appearances.
Denver's next game is Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Bzdelik was 73-119 as Nuggets coach.
The reason why I posted this here is due to Cooper's outstanding history in the WNBA. But didn't everyone see this coming when he was hired. I found it very strange that Cooper would leave the Sparks in the middle of the season, without some kind of knowledge that he was eventually in line for this job.
