I thought the Sacramento Mayor Heather Fargo and Montville, CT Mayor Joe Jaskiewicz made a wager on the WNBA Finals, but other than wearing the other team's jersey. I thought they would wager local products instead.
Anyway, from one of Connecticut's online news sources, TheDay.com:

A FRIENDLY LITTLE WAGER; BATTLE OF MAYORS DURING PLAYOFFS

Montville, CT - Pay back is sweet.
Somewhere in California, Heather Fargo, mayor in Sacramento, is smiling, knowing she won the wager against Montville Mayor Joseph Jaskiewicz. It was a friendly battle of the mayors and Jaskiewicz unfortunately didn't come out on top.
The night before the championship series in the 2005 WNBA season with the Connecticut Suns playing the Sacramento Monarchs, Jaskiewicz received a call from Fargo.
"Let's have a little wager on what's going on," Fargo said to Jaskiewicz.
The mayors agreed to a bet that whichever team lost the championship, that mayor would have to wear the opposing team's jersey.
"It was in good spirit," Jaskiewicz said.
The Connecticut Suns put up a good battle against the Sacramento Monarchs but were defeated 3-1 in the four-game series. The Mohegan Sun team finished as the Eastern Conference Champions.
"I was just thinking, 'Now it's a matter of when it's (the jersey is) going to arrive,'" Jaskiewicz said.
Just two weeks later the package reached its destination, arriving on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the mayor's office. Inside was a Monarch's jersey labeled "No. 1 Jaskiewicz" on the back side and a sympathy card.
"Wear it in good health," the card read.
Jaskiewicz sported the white Monarch's jersey over a peach-colored dress shirt all day long and at the Town Council meeting in the evening.
"You should have been wearing blue," laughed Councilor Ellen Hillman.
The mayor said he was teased all day long, but the wager was done in great spirit.
"Everybody was giving it to me," Jaskiewicz said. "It's been cute and fun."
Jaskiewicz said he plans to hang up the jersey somewhere in his home.
"The kids will get a kick out of it," he said.
