Maxime Raynaud named March Rookie of the Month

Can't believe this franchise is letting Raynaud drop 17.9/8.5 just so he can get an award instead of properly running the tank. Disgusted.

Obviously kidding. Congrats, Maxime!

An illustrious greatly run franchise like the Utah Jazz would never!
They've actually played Ace Bailey (on the season) a few more minutes than we've played Raynaud. We were lucky to be picking at #42 so we could land Raynaud, the poor Jazz were stuck at #5 and had to settle for Bailey.

Maybe if they had won more games, they could’ve moved up in the draft and taken Cooper Flagg!

This would make sense if people complained about the young guys getting minutes but nobody does
Some people complain about every win. They say we are playing the vets too much and we win. They complain when we win and the kids are playing (vets are injured or play more backup roles), but they don't expressly state an opinion on the PT itself. When a kid plays that well and we win, the complaints are there no matter who is the leading scorer / best player. It's slightly more hidden, but the complaining is still there.

Nobody is complaining about the young guys playing minutes this is ludicrous

Which is utterly ridiculous.

As a staunch defender of competing no matter what, I take zero issue playing the young kids that are the future of the franchise (or at least expected to be) heavy minutes and if one or two (or more) of those players happen to play well enough to win games --- GREAT!

However, I totally understand fans being upset playing vets such as DeRozan, Achiuwa, and Monk -- most or all of whom likely will not be on the roster next season or at least are not part of the long term future -- more minutes than the young future. That's short-sighted and stupid, as it doesn't serve short or long term goals.

That said, any fan not being consistent with their views deserves ridicule IMO. Being upset when the team wins while their young players play starters minutes is just downright silly.

But being upset about last night? Makes total sense to me. There's no reason for DeRozan, Achiuwa, and Monk to be playing so many minutes and closing out games. Not only are they all veterans that the team knows what they bring to the table and what they can do -- Achiuwa probably will sign elsewhere next season and the KINGS have reportedly been trying to offload DDR and MM anyway. Even if they do return next season and aren't traded -- they still are not part of the long term future.

DeRozan is still going for all time records like scoring. Achiuwa were trying to keep for next year. Monk should probably be sitting.

Not directly, but they complain about every win, no matter who is leading the charge. Kids play more and win, complain. Vets play more and win, complain. Kids play and they lose by 30, complain. The bitching is still there no matter what happens. 🤷‍♂️ I just kinda wish everyone would just stop bitching about everything, especially when nothing but a very tailored close loss is the only thing that seems to be what they want. And some people (particularly those that pay to attend games) like to see wins once in a while, so the losses (both big and small) cause bitching from other sources.

Congrats, Max. Well deserved recognition.

He's an automatic bucket when he gets to his spots. It's a good sign when a player can eat when they're being fed. The defensive instincts are improving. He's a good communicator on the court and that should bode well for the future. Needs to bulk up without losing lateral quickness and he's a legit starter.

If I could like/love this indefinitely, I would.

This is awesome and totally deserved. It's just going to make it all the more annoying when he gets passed on for first team all-rookie.

DDR’s personal achievements, most of which occurred elsewhere, should not be a concern of this org.

Do you really think Achiuwa is going to re-sign in SAC over the other opportunities he’s probably earned with his production this season, and the during past month?

It is when dealing with his agents other clients.

Achiuwa has already said he would like to stay.
