Loved him when they signed. Love him even more now. Kept on saying, your best player can't be your enforcer too. Every good team needs a tough guy to do the dirty work. Brings a toughness this team has lacked since Ron Artest and Bonzi Wells were on the team.

Him and coach have made the biggest difference in the mental makeup of this team. Last year we would have gotten blown out by the Spurs and would have given up after the first half of this game.

I cant believe the Clippers felt he was unworthy of their team lol. Also yeah I would think about resting him and maybe giving Casspi some burn, good luck convincing him though. They always said Barnes is a guy you hate unless he is on your team, three games into season and thats already clear as day. Best man bun in the game.

Actually, the Clips wanted to sign him this offseason but he received a more lucrative offer from the Kings. They didn't have the caproom to offer him more.

I remember in the last game, Grant said he was grabbing around his ribs area a lot, and he was playing hurt.
Tonight, saw him grabbed around that area again. I love the energy Barnes brought tonight. He was the difference changer. Game ball goes to him!

He's got sore ribs, but he said he just kept catching elbows, that's all.

Matt's tough as nails and been down through there as they say. 12 points and 9 assists 5 rebounds a steal and a block playing through his injury, with great defense to boot. We needed him on this team this year and I am glad Vlade got it done.

Exactly, they could have signed him but chose not to. Matt said himself he was to have dinner with Doc Rivers and seal the deal and got the news in the middle of the night before that they went another direction.Only after they dropped Barnes money on Wesley Johnson. Love his game so far kinda sucks we get the likes of Barnes/Reggie Evans/Andre Miller when they are all like 37 instead of 27 but the dude for his age is still a fairly crazy athlete.

This is very true. Some of the same people who were talking how these vets the Kings brought in were yada, yada have been very quiet
Barnes and Temple have been stud defenders. Ty Lawson has been going toe to toe with Bledsoe, Tony Parker and Rubio. Tolliver has played some good D also.
Tolliver hitting 7 threes is an aberration. He may have a regular season game or two where he hits 5 or 6 threes but in general he's a guy who stretches the floor for others, moves the ball and makes good decisions on offense, rebounds decently, is a plus individual defender in most matchups and can be counted on to be a good help defender. All while being a very good locker room guy.
The thing about Barnes and Temple and Tolliver is that they are all guys that do the little things that help teams win.
