Martin cleared to play

Sorry about the spelling of Martin. My keyboard operator sometimes doesn't push the keys hard enough. I can't seem to fix the subject line.
 
Damn good news. And the Sixers should provide a nice cushy opportunity to reinser him into the rotation without much pressure.
 
Awesome, hopefully we find out if he and Tyreke can play well together. They're either going to fit real well or poorly, I don't really see an inbetween area. Hopefully he comes back and gives us a much needed boost, some much needed FT shooting, and some much needed 3 point shooting. If not, dude always has trade value and we can roll with the Beno/Greene/Cisco platoon at SG.

Amick just said on Twitter for those fans calling for Martin to play tonight, remember that he hasn't practiced with the team yet, so it's not likely.

He has been shadowing the team, and doing basketball workouts for 3 weeks, so he's close to being in as game ready shape as he can be without being in a game.

Really glad to see that Martin has healed up. No more freak accidents! He needs to stay healthy and get rollin with the program. The Kings have good chemistry now and I hope Martin adds to that chemistry. I am almost unable to contain myself! I really hope that Martin/Evans is a success! But if not, I hope Martin stays healthy long enough to be traded :). I love Kevin's game but if he gets hurt again anytime soon the "Brittle" tag will be hung around his neck. REALLY want to see K-Mart succeed with the Kings!!

They aren't going to trot him out like a show pony for one possession. ;)

In all the years I've been a Kings fan, I can only recall ONE time when fan chants actually got someone put into a game. Anybody else remember who it was?

OP sucks doesn't count. :p

What I was thinking of was a fan chant done solely to honor a player, not because he was young and talented and being wasted on the bench (like Gerald Wallace).

I don't recall ever hearing Chilcutt chants, but I might not have been at the right games. ;)

Let's not forget:

Tyreke is doubled, passes to Martin who burns by his defender... Martin is fouled on the way to the hoop by a late defensive rotation and still scores the hoop. Free throws upcoming.

or

<Martin's defender> doubles on Tyreke leaving Marting wide open.

or

There was not a defender within fifteen feet of Casspi as he gets the easy bucket.

I was at that Utah game (think it was the first game of the season) the year after we went 5 games with them in the playoffs.. Was a great game, and a lot of chanting.
