• Sunday: We are in a very nice hotel. It's like an apartment. We've got a full kitchen, a living room and then two separate rooms with our own bathroom and TV in each bedroom.

<snip>

Not everyone is here right now. We are missing five people that are still overseas. There are 14 people here right now and Kara Lawson (second-year guard), a girl named Julia (Giuliana Mendiola, second-year guard), and Ruthie Bolton (eight-year guard) are the only veterans here from Sacramento. Everyone else is either new or they got traded, so its basically a whole new team right now. The other five people are coming in another week or so.
Everyone is nice on the team. Nobody was "too good" to talk to me. They were all cool. Nothing really funny has happened yet but I've only been here two days.

• Monday: Today was basically the same thing, although I did not practice, but I did lift weights. I am pretty sure I'll practice (Tuesday), although my ankle injury is still day-to-day, I'm really excited to get out on the court and play.

For the most part, it's fun out here. There's nice warm weather and we're are going to go downtown after our 11 a.m. practice, so we will have the whole day to ourselves.

This is a weekly column, so be sure to check the link next week for an update.
