Kings-Sonics PBP thread for Nov. 20

Good day, fellow Kings fans!

Here's hoping THIS trip to Seattle for our Kings won't have any of the bad memories left from the last trip... It would certainly be nice to see another win today.

As always, I provide this thread as a way for our members who cannot see or hear the game other ways to follow the action. While you're doing that, you can also participate in the game discussion thread, started by piksi. In addition, you can visit the CHAT at mIRC. The server is irc.bludgeon.org and the channel is #KingsFans.

Everything here at Kingsfans.com starts with the generosity and dedication of our board owner, Jeremy. Okay, as usual nothing earth-shattering during the HPL part of the show.

They did show Rashard Lewis' tricked out Yukon Denali with the customized "bowling ball marblized" paint job.

I always forget how steep the lower level is in Key Arena.

Grant and Jerry talking about Bonzi's alley-oop pass to Peja. Turns out it WASN'T his first alley-oop attempt. He actually made one about four years ago, although it was more an allez-o... (He didn't slam the ball, he flipped it up and in...)

Grant talks to Peja, and it's one of the more enjoyable interviews with him I think I've ever seen.

He talked about how well he and Brad are working together and how he thinks SAR is coming along and learning the system.

Then, Grant asked him about the whole Bulls thing. Peja, looking pretty believable and NOT rehearsed, said he really didn't understand why they - the Chicago press - made that comment. He says right now he's focusing on the Kings and doing the best possible job he can.

I am often very critical of Peja, so it's only fair that I give him an equal dose of praise for sitting down and just "chatting" with Grant. He looks like the Peja of several years ago, the one who actually looked as though he was having a good time. I hope it continues - not only for him but for us.

They're showing the Kings coming into Key Arena earlier today. Peja and Bonzi look REALLY good in their suits; Brad had on a plaid shirt and slacks.

I think this is gonna be a good one, fellow Kings fans.

Interesting stat from the Bucks game: The Kings made 40 field goals. Of those 40, 31 of them also had assists recorded.
