Piksi says he is out of town so I will attempt to do this for this game.

On January 30th 2001 Kings destroyed the Warriors 105 - 79 to improve their record to 30 - 12. Webb had 28/12/4/4, Peja had 16/5/3, JWill had 15 points and 9 assists and Pollard helped out with 11/12.

"You have to beat teams that your supposed to beat and their
record indicates we should've beaten them tonight," Webber said.

Sacramento's Scot Pollard collected his second double-double of
the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds in 19 minutes off the
bench.

The Kings outscored Golden State, 60-30, in the paint and tied
their season-high in rebounds, but were still outrebounded,
58-56.

Kings are now 18 - 25 with 39 games to go and 1-4 on their current road trip. The Celts game was tough, trying to incorporate the new piece, "Our Test." Our rebounding is atrocious. Sometimes I hope the other team makes a 2 point field goal so they won't get an offensive board and turn that possesion into 3 points.

Artes looks as if he inspires the other Kings to play D. I am pretty sure I spotted Bibby trying his hardest to stay in front of West when Artest was in the game. Artest was all over the place forcing turnovers. A key play that comes to mind is when Paul Pierce recieved a handoff from West and immediately started dribbling. Artest showed, Pierce picked up his dribble, and Artest took the ball away.

Well all the Kings fans are going to fins a new scapegoat. First, Webber. Then, Peja. Now they are gone. My guess is Artest will be in the chair in about 2 months, maybe sooner.

If I could combine SAR's lowpost scoring with K9's rebounding, I would in a heartbeat.

Geoff Petrie was at the game yesterday, and as usual, he looked like he did not enjoy it at all. He was checking out the new product I guess.

If the Raptors allowed 81 to Kobe, maybe they will let Bibby reach a new career high. He shoots for 50, Brad gets his 20, and Artest saves 10 possesions to the ten or more offensive boards we give up, we should come out on top.

Well, now that we have a defensive presence, we could REALLY use the 8 boards Bonzi gives us everynight. And can we hit any type of shots against mediocre teams? (Celts and Magic)

Tommorow - we play Raptors and if we don't box out, Bosh will have a field day. Now, that might not mean anything but it could. It is the second game for Ron Artest. He will probably be assigned to Jalen Rose. The stat line for Rose tonight: 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 7 TO's.

thansk everyone :D I know its shorter than usual, but Piksi has so many more thoughts than I do usually. I looked forever to find that games recap and box score.

One comment - I think you did a good job but I think it's unfair to say Kings fans will find a new scapegoat. There may be a few fans who have to find someone new to "blame" for the team's failure to live up to their expectations, but I still firmly believe MOST Kings fans are better than that.

kings win, artest has a very solid game, martin/garcia likely play well too (considering how great Iguodala plays against them ;) ).

This'll be my first time seeing a full game w/ Artest as a King.

I would also settle for Brad to at least play the same kind of post-D that Reef plays.

Through constant yelling (and i really screamed my lungs out) i got his attention, too. But when he was expecting me to say something, I just froze, so he just smiled.:eek:

Oh yeah, and when I cheer on the Kings' every possession, people around me get really pissed also.

I hope the Kings win this one. We have to get back on track quick to have a chance at the playoffs.

I am ready for the game to start NOW! Artest had a day to practice, although 1 day is not a lot of time it should help a little. Some say he has a high basketball IQ so maybe he picks things up quickly.

I expect Bibby to bounce back tonight and Brad to have a more solid outing. We are playing the RAPS so hopefully we don't play down to there bad play.

And LETS HOPE Ron FOUND SOME NEW SHOES! :)

I'm sure he'll guard him at times during the game, but unless he gets hot, Bibby/Martin/Garcia/Hart/Price (if he plays) will be. Considering James is a combo guard.

One note about tonight's game: Jalen Rose more often than not gets whatever he wants offensively with Ron on him. He's just one of those guys that for whatever reason Ron struggles to stop 8/10 times.
