First, my apologies to everyone for missing the last two games. A combination of factors, but primarily my work schedule plays havoc with early games from the East Coast.
Well, Arco is going to see the team on the court for the first time since the trade. So much has happened...and so many things we were talking about just a couple of months ago are now totally and completely irrelevant.
Now we look forward and watch to see what this new group of Kings is made of. Mike, Peja, Brad and Bobby (from the sidelines) are all that's left of the old guard. It falls on their shoulders to bring the new guys into the fold. It has to be very tough, since those four are seasoned pros and they have to suspect this is not the end but the beginning.
It's a BEAUTIFUL day here in the forest. Crisp air, brilliant blue skies with huge white puffy clouds in one direction and thin high clouds in another. I actually did NOT have a fire in my wood stove last night which is an indication that it's getting close to spring. Of course, we get snow as late as May so I'm not putting the warm clothes away quite yet.
This afternoon's commentators on ABC will be Al Michaels and Hubie Brown. That's a relief. I was not looking forward to the possibility of another ABC broadcaster being in Arco. Thankfully, he's in the New York studio. I think even the basketball gods have realized we Kings fans can only handle so much and we're right at the edge.![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Al Michaels, speaking with Hubie Brown from Arco during the half-time of the Mavericks-Rockets game, said Brad Miller will not play. In the background, Pete Carril was working with Tag on mid-range jumpers.
Now that would be an interesting development, but I'm not holding my breath that Tag is going to all of a sudden become a shooting threat.
Game time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

It gives you the basics about our site, AND it includes information on how you can become - if you choose - a CONTRIBUTING MEMBER of the most active Kings message board on the Internet. It's not required, of course, but is greatly appreciated. Proceeds go towards defraying some of the costs of keeping kingsfans.com up and operating. As I said, you're under no obligation whatsoever to become a contributing member. In fact, we don't even require you to REGISTER as a member to read our forums. I'm looking forward to an interesting game. I think the Arco crowd is going to rise to the occasion. Whatever rift there was or wasn't, it's over now and we have a bunch of guys in Kings uniforms who are really going to need some Arco thunder!
GO KINGS!!!!
