Greetings, fellow Kings fans!!!

First, the important news...

24:Redemption!

I'll be watching the game and recording 24, since I KNOW I'll want to watch it very carefully and be able to go back to check on various nuances. I LOVE 24!!!

Now, about the game... We're in Staples with a depleted squad against a Lakers team some have already put into the finals for 2009. (Oddly enough, I think they still have to play the games but hey, what do I know?)

The weather has definitely turned cooler here in the forest. The smell of wood smoke on the air is the good kind - from chimneys and stove pipes - and not the scary kind.

And now, a brief word from our sponsors:

Kingsfans.com is a great place to come to catch up on the latest discussions, talk about your hopes and/or fears for the team, etc. We have some fantastic members who really know the game of basketball and we have newcomers who are able to join in and learn more about the game we love. All are welcome to our family-friendly board.

All this is possible because of the generosity and dedication of our board owner. If you would like to help defray the costs of keeping Kingsfans.com up and running as the #1 Sacramento Kings internet community, please consider becoming a Contributing Member You're under no obligation, of course, but our Contributing Members do receive things like larger avatars, custom user titles, and first chance at tickets to group events, such as attending the opening night game at Arco with some of your favorite KF posters.

Back now to our regular programming. ;)

We've got our game discussion thread already percolating along quite nicely. If you participate in the thread during the game and have any kind of problems, please use the "refer a post" option to signal the moderators. We'll take care of the situation. One reminder: Do not feed the trolls. :p

I want to see heart and hustle, energy and enthusiasm tonight from our Kings. I want to see focus and intensity, desire and drive. I don't care what the final score is as long as the guys who play leave it all out there on the court.

Now let's get ready for some Kings basketball!

Okay, this is probably just me, but I am already heartily tired of listening to Grant and Jerry fall all over themselves to try and verbalize just how great and magnificent the Lakers are. Are they afraid they won't have live microphones from Staples if they don't fawn at the feet of the mighty home team?

I may just hurl....
