SACRAMENTO -- Isaiah Thomas sank two free throws to break a tie with 30.4 seconds remaining, and the Sacramento Kings punctuated a game of runs by scoring the final 10 points to beat the Phoenix Suns 106-104 on Tuesday at Sleep Train Arena. The free throws capped a 19-point night by the third-year guard, and helped the Kings (3-6) win the opener of a back-to-back, home-and-home series between the two teams by overcoming an 84-70 third-quarter deficit. It also put him in the Sacramento record book; Thomas' nine straight double-digit scoring games off the bench broke Walt Williams' mark of eight.
