Judging by the ovation he received upon checking into the late stages of Sunday afternoons 109-90 Bulls rout over the Knicks at the United Center, Jimmer Fredette is already a fan favorite in Chicago. The newly acquired guard, whose signing was officially announced Sunday morning he cleared waivers Saturday after being bought out by his previous team, the Sacramento Kings, Thursday only logged three minutes of playing time in the blowout victory but hit his first shot attempt in a Bulls uniform. But it felt good to get in there in front of the fans, and to have a great win like that was great for us, Fredette said of his debut. They love the Bulls, every other team thats out here, so I appreciate it.

“I think it will help a lot. It helps when sometimes things don’t go your way in a certain city. Sometimes a fresh start is exactly what you need, so I’m hoping that’s the case here,” he said. “We’ll see what happens after the season. I’m not too worried about that right now. I’m just worried about helping this team win right now, and we’ll look forward to that later.

“I’m excited. I thought it was a great fit for me, to be able to come in and hopefully help spread the floor, and be able to give them an outside-shot presence. But I like the way that they play. They play really hard, they play for each other, they play as a team. So that’s the style of basketball I want to play, and that’s why I think it’s a good fit,” Fredette continued. “Just a group of guys that played for each other and worked really hard every single night. That’s what I liked about it. They brought great intensity at both ends of the floor and really moved the ball well, and played as a team.”

They play really hard, they play for each other, they play as a team...

I have to hope someday we'll be able to say that about our Kings. Of course, a winning team makes things a lot easier.

Watched the game start to finish. Not a Bulls fan by any measure, but I love it when any team beats the Knicks. This has been a very good year for me in that respect.

Edit: Edited to add, Noah had a triple double making some really great passes on backdoor cuts. There is literally zero reason why Noah can do that and Cousins cannot.
