Yeah I’d be really nervous taking on all that long term salary at this point. I think something like…

Domantas Sabonis

For

RJ Barrett
Ochai Agbaji
Gradey Dick
Jamison Battle
2026 TOR 1st (Unprotected)
2028 TOR 1st (Unprotected)

…makes more sense. It keeps our cap situation clean (Barrett expires the same time as Schroder, LaVine, & DeRozan) and we pickup 2 unprotected 1sts. We’d have to waive 3 players but we have plenty of good candidates to choose from (Westbrook, McDermott, Saric, Eubanks, etc.)

The Raptors get their man in Sabonis without surrendering any core pieces. Poeltl could be used in another trade to help balance their bench a bit.
