Is it fair?

I mean we stuck with the kings through the bad times, the hard, and the good times. We were there when we lost a controversial game 7 vs the lakers, we were there when Jwill came, when bibby came, when vlade was here. We wept in game 7 vs timberwolves, we cheered for the 62(?) win season....And what do we get in return? Poor effort and a lack of energy. Now, do we honestly deserve this? I am really questioning my future support for the kings especially if this continues....Now, i don't think im alone on this, so Id like to hear your thoughts on this subject and not just the future of the kings, but the future of us as fans.

Sports is not something inherently just. :) But in the end, when your team finally does win, it's much more enjoyable having gone through the really bad times.

Not something a fan of a team that always wins can experience.

You can keep in mind that it's just a game, or else you gotta live with the pain of losing.

Whether or not you want to continue to support the Kings is your decision.

Do you honestly think the Kings get together before every game and strategize on how to disappoint the fans?

It's not about deserving anything. If you're a fan, you're a fan. If you think you deserve better, find another team.

At this point, it wouldn't surprise me.:p

It is not about fairness. Life isn't fair. "Get used to disappointment". Rather, it's about being a fan. The highest highs and lowest lows and everything in between. That's the sum of it.

What's not fair is that this team is clearly capable of doing better than what they are doing now. The play like **** because they obviously don't seem to care enough to get better. It's not fair to us that they aren't giving 100% every night.

Fair? Um, no.

Everyone has to make a decision about how "die hard" they want to be, and everyone can change their mind any time.

My wife and I went to every game for two straight years, which was sometimes a grind on a work week. Loved them as if they were our kids. Thought we were all in on something together - fun. It was how we decided to spend our dough instead of Yosemite, cruises, furniture, or whatever else. And it was a GOOD DEAL. It was NEVER any more fun as that first 5 game series with Utah that we lost in game 5 OT. Williams and Webber were gonna be the next Stockton and Malone.. all that jazz (pun intended). Plucky underdogs, prototype team of the future... so cool.

Then we began to realize that the Kings don't love you back. JWill - shipped off unceremoniously. Barry - shipped off unceremoniously... no need to rehash every time some beloved member of the team was discarded like so much trash. Remember the Mafool's secret flight to Arkansas to lie to Corliss - scam him into taking a lowball contract? The cynicism started to creep in and you couldn't really say "die hard" anymore. Committed yes. Season ticket holders yes. Fans yes. Love them? LOVE them like sons? That was dumb in the first place. No - not anymore.

By the time the Mafools threw Vlade, Doug, Bobby and Chris in the garbage (and crapped all over Adelman for good measure) we had become a little bit hardened - gradually prepared so we weren't hurt that bad. We had figured out the scam by then.

Die hard fans = suckers. The Mafools care about you zero. They have boiled you slowly with steady price increases so now you are paying top dollar for one of the sorriest outfits in the NBA. They bought a practice facility and showed up in the Skyline lounge and tricked you into thinking they were just warming your bath. No, they were cooking your goose. Give me a break - they are like the Corleone family. Booze and gambling gangsters with a fun little NBA toy. They care about Sacramento zero.

Root for your team! But try not to land on the psychiatrist's couch because you're so invested in something that does not love you back. You are worth more than that.

Go Kings!

Positive Frank
