Interesting Cruch Time stats

I've noticed for some time that the Kings now play more like the Lakers did five years ago. Keep withing 10-12 points one way or the other for 3 quarters and then put together a 28-35 point fourth (against lesser opponents) or pick up the D more against better opponents.

I think Miller and Webber are emerging as legitimate clutch threats in addition to Bibby. Although Mike is still who I would most like to see taking a shot, I wouldn't be horribly dissapointed if the Kings bigs were asked to shoot either.

NBA types spend lots of money scouting other teams/coaches to get an idea of their tendancies in certain situations. The more options we have at any give time (but especially in crunch time) means more headaches for the opposition since they can't have that good of an idea of who's going to get the ball for the last shot. And this, too me, is an advantage that other teams with "superstar" go-to guys don't have because you know it's going to go to them and you can plan accordingly.

So what the "experts" will still call Webb a choke artist and the Kings a soft team. Im not even sure a NBA championship will shut guys like Barkley up. Oh well fortunalty I don't care what they think, and hopefully the Kings only care enough to make them eat crow.

The Kings are doing much better when it gets down to crunch time this year. I was looking at last season compared to this season when they go into OT. Last year they were 0 - 4 in OT. This year they are already 4 - 2. They are finding ways to win when it comes down to the wire, and that's very good to hear.
