If the "Royals" move...

We should take the money the Maloofs owe the city and use it to buy the arena. Without the Maloofs we can tear down arco and build a better one for a pretty low price. Maybe 100 to 150 mil. I think the current location is perfect. Traffic runs smoothly after games.

I really don't like the idea of going downtown. I hate going there because of the one way streets and the parking problems. It sucks getting ripped for parking or getting a ticket.

The city doesn't own Arco or the money and the arena would sure as hell cost more than 150 million dollars unless you're building the damn thing out of cardboard and ducttape.

How is that? I heard somone make a point that you can build a high rise 4 times the size of arco for 200 million. High rises are pretty complex with a lot of engineering involved. Why is it a basketball arena costs 400 mil? How many palms are getting greased?

The Amway Center for the Magic started being built in 2008 and finished in 2010. It cost them $480 million. Staples Center was built in 1999 and cost $375 million.

What cost you $100 mil in the late 80's is now 4x as much.

Amway was $380 million, the land and infrastructure was $100 million. Sacramento has the land. The infrastructure is needed anyways if they want to redevelop the railraids.
