After 8 seasons, I'm also done as a season ticket holder. This team is going nowhere, the front office has made a series of terrible moves and I just don't see any commitment on their part to change things. The Kings just aren't worth the money any more.

Okay, I'm curious. Let's say we get a decent draft pick and the Maloofs open the wallet and let Petrie bring in some decent talent, along with a couple of trades. Would this be something you'd view as enough of a commitment to try and get back the season tickets? Or would you have to see more to go back to putting out the big bucks?

We are renewing our tickets because, despite it all, we love the Kings. But, we have upper level seats (40.50/ticket) and it's still A LOT of money for us. I don't know how some of you do it with the expensive seats, it is a huge financial drain, especially when it's hard to get rid of the tickets.

I really don't think renewing (or not renewing) has anything to do with being a good fan. Whether it's financial considerations or displeasure with the front office, everyone has to do what's right for them. For me, renewing is a selfish thing, because I know that when everything's said and done I want to be in Arco cheering for my team.

Francisco- could you go in with 1kingzfan or someone else to help ease the burden? I hate to see people losing giving up their tickets if they aren't sure they want to.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with the season ticket waiting list. I know it took us a couple of years to get our tickets, but judging from the people here not renewing as well as others I have talked to I am guessing that they are going to work through the waiting list very quickly.

I'd consider keeping my seats if I had a partner who was willing to ride my relocation judgement... and buy half no matter what happened.... whether it was to good value $51/pair upper corners, to the expensive side uppers in row A-C, or to primo lower level seats (row A-C, or maybe even those padded seats on the 113-116 side that are $330/pair... yowza).

But I would never ask anyone to sign up for that kind of uncertainty... so I don't see it happening.

If my rep puts it in writing that I can have my money back after my relocation turn comes up if I don't like what is available... well that might draw me into the game. She hasn't answered my email though.

Packers fans also know that the city of Green Bay owns the franchise, and that they will be there forever. I sure wish it was that way with the Kings.

This is pretty much what I am banking on as this team doesn't want to lose(regardless of what some people think). The key to this team turning a profit is the playoffs and this year they won't make it so I am ASSuming they will do something.

If they don't I will be bitter and will of course let them know that.

I'd have to see more to renew my tickets. Three years worth of major mistakes - bad personnel moves, bad publicity (Maloofs), bad coaching (Muss) and underachieving can't be made up for in one offseason. The best thing that could happen to this team is to get rid of ALL the vets - with Ron Artest being the first and Bibby, Miller, Thomas, Abdur-Rahim included - and just start over. I'll still follow the team, but they've got to be worth the entertainment dollars (young and headed in the right direction) for me to come back as a season ticket holder.

right on. i can't even get myself to pony up the measly $200 for league pass; can't imagine what it's like to have had to shell out for season tickets this past season.

I just made the last second decision to renew my season tix for next year. I have 2 seats and they are $140/per seat. If they do not make a conscious effort to get better next year, it will be tougher for me to shell out this type of money for a team that continually loses. I know that the Maloofs hate losing, and I bet there will be major changes to the roster next year. This is what I am banking on by renewing my seats.

Good on you CalBears! The last second deliberating was agonizing for me. But we stuck to our guns and passed. Calculating my taxes yesterday was bad timing for the Maloofs.... if I was truly on the fence, the tax bill nudged me over.

I bet, re-up or not, it was not a very easy choice for anybody.

I sincerely mean this.... I hope very much I live to regret the decision!

I pulled the plug today on my Section 112 M Kings season seats that I have had for almost a decade. It was a gut-wrenching decision, but it was just too much drain at $250/game for so much misery this past season. I lost my 1/4-season ticket partner a few days ago, so that pretty much closed the deal.

But I have another pair of seats on my Kings account in 216 H which I have sold to a group of former work cohorts for the last 6 years. I'll be joining their group with a modest 11-game commitment (at $81/game for the pair) and will likely purchase other games individually for Kingsgurl and I to attend, pending how the team is doing.

Big difference between $11,000 and $900.

I'm still sad, and I will miss those seats, but it was time to move on.

Thanx, VF21 and Francisco, for the "defending" words for those of us STHs who have been truly paying a hefty chunk of those player salaries.

I talked to my ticket rep yesterday and apparantely they are going to have a pick your seat day sometime in May once the get the full tally on season tickets. I have never been able to switch my seats before but since they are losing season ticket holders it seems as though they will now allow you to switch seats within your price range(or upgrade of course!!!).

I have tried the past 6 years to get aisle seats but have never been able to.

I didn't know it was prohibited before. Every year I renewed I could check a box that said "please contact me about relocation" and fill in some preferences.

Was that only offered if you wanted to trade "up"? I didn't realize that.

Of course the one year I finally switched from $40.50 to $115 seats the team went in the tank... duherrr - I really felt like a genius as that all unfolded

I hear you. I blasted MSE in my survey for their relocation procedures. I do not think they are entirely above board - they do not give season ticket holders options on the best available seats.

I checked the other day on kings.com for seats to the Jazz game - just for grins. They had section 114, row A, seat 9&10. I am not kidding you. If they called me today and offered me that location for next season I would take it. And that is what is so infuriating about MSE.

I had seats up in the rafters for about 4 years before I was able to relocate. Basically I just decided to call my sales rep every day of the week until I was able to relocate. I went from 212 row P to 101 row J. I spoke with my sales rep the other day and she informed me that they will send out the info regarding seat relocations at the end of April. As long as you are not too specific regarding where you would like to relocate, it shouldn't be a problem.
