So the qualifications for the new coach according to Petrie are:
Someone with experience in the NBA
Someone with experience as a head coach in the NBA
And someone who has had some success at somepoint in their career

I guess it depends on how you define success. To someone, success might be just making the play-offs.
Looking at that criteria, I think the person that gets the tick in all 3 categories would be Avery.
Having said that, I still have this unshakable feeling that our next coach will be Eddie Jordan.
Whay do I think that?
Someone with experience in the NBA - tick
Someone with experience as a head coach in the NBA - tick
And someone who has had some success at somepoint in their career - Now this goes back to how you define success but I suspect that Petrie's/Maloofs' definition is making play-offs.
Add to that that Petrie didn't want to fire Jordan in the first place and it just point to Jordan coming back to coach us.
If the kings get Jeff Van Gundy i will be so pissed. He's truly an idiot. He doesn't even make smart comments during games, he makes bad jokes and worships Mark Jackson the whole time. Thank god Im leaving sac in a few months .
He also mentioned that the people he will interview are probably still working now. I hope that means playoff coaches like Byron Scott, but it could mean Bickerstaff (assistant), Del Harris (assisant), JVG (ESPN/ABC), etc...
