FIBA Europe's logo

 the only thing missing was the flashing neon........

If Val Ackerman was still in charge, I could see her getting her design people working feverishly to get something similar for the WNBA logo change.

That just looks very ridiculous, and not at all basketball-like. Looks like part of a layout for a men's mag. Yes, there are different attitudes prevailing overseas about women's basketball-have you seen some of the "uniforms" those players wear? Yikes.

It's......um......interesting(?)......If you look at the Aussie's uniforms, this would fit right in.....but, c'mon, she's not even wearing shoes:rolleyes:

It looks more like an ad for a Pilates gym. What sports league (NBA, WNBA, etc) would show a player sitting down as it's symbol?!
Reminds me of how the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League players were marketed during WWII.

I always thought that this would be more like it :)

For sure that is different. I like the silloute look & the Pink. I'm sorta into pink these days....I read that in the fashion world ''Pink is the new Black''
I'm not sure if I'd sport a tee or not?

Whether appropriate or not, that thing is just plain ugly. A bright orange ball in a bright pink circle...

Who is that? That woman looks like she is pushing 60 years old, yet she is wearing a Barça logo so I assume she is a professional basketball player in Spain.

Europe is much more sexual, and more free with expressing sexuality. They realize there is nothing wrong with, and are generally more open minded as a people. The U.S. should be taking notes.

Her name is Razija Mujanovic. She's from Bosnia and 39 years old now I believe.

She did play in WNBA for Detroit briefly in late 90's.

More open than the good old USA? Not so sure about that, although I have heard that there's lots of nude bathing. As for the logo, I wonder if they had to get approval from some different groups before going forward. Still not sold on it, but it doesn't trip me out too much.
I see your point Carole...maybe the mens team will come out with a guy in those throwback shorts from the early NBA days, the real short ones. He would be sitting on the ball in this logo!

Gee, you've come a long way, baby. Now snuggle up against that basketball. Is it appropriate? Oh, don't worry your pretty head about it, dear. Let us men deal with the details. Arch your back just a little more...

There, that's it.

What a bleeping crock. It's not about Europe being more open to a blasted thing. It's pandering, pure and simple.

Blech.
