Ex-S.F. Giant 3rd baseman Chris Brown, R.I.P.

Chris Brown, who played third base for the S.F. Giants during the mid-1980's, has died. His home in Sugar Land, TX caught fire last November. An autopsy is being performed but the cause of death is still pending. An ESPN report says he died from burns, though.

He also played for the San Diego Padres, and (briefly) for the Detroit Tigers.
