For any of you who might be DirecTV customers and have concerns about the Kings games being broadcast, here is a form letter you can use to email the company.

Send away, DirecTV customers!


The Sacramento Kings and Comcast Cable have recently announced a partnership for a new regional cable network in Northern California. The network is due to broadcast the vast majority of Sacramento Kings games to all Northern California Comcast customers.

My question to you is this: Is DirecTV going to purchase the rights to carry the games so that its customers in the Sacramento-area are able to view the Kings games?

I have been a DirecTV customer for (your time as a customer here) and I LOVE your product. But I will be leaving DirecTV for Comcast if the games are not carried. I know many others who feel the same way.

Please advise as to what DirecTV's stance is on this matter and what you plan on doing to ensure that the new network is carried by your company as well.

I sent a very similar email several weeks ago. I was told there was NO plan to add the channel at that time. However, programming is always subject to change. Unfortunately, I live in Placer Co. and have no access to Comcast.

Have already done that , except to DishNetwork. Others got replies. I got none. Guess they're tired of hearing about it.
All I can say is "I feel Ya brother/sister.

It would be nice if everyone with DTV piled on and made their feelings known. I will contact them again if they dont respond to my initial request.

A few phone calls might help too. Thats my next step.
