There's been many dozens of triple doubles recorded in NBA history. It's a nice achievement, but THE QUADRUPLE DOUBLE is the REAL exclusive club:
The Houston Rockets Hakeem Olajuwon is the ONLY player in NBA history to record TWO quadruple doubles, both in 1990 with only THREE other NBA players officially recording ONE (Nate Thurmond, Alvin Robertson, David Robinson).
The Dream's Quadruple Double Games:
3/3/90 vs. Golden State: 29 Pts. 18 RB 10 Asst. 11 blocks
*It's believed players like Oscar Robertson, Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain had NBA regular season or playoff quadruple doubles, but such detailed stats were generally not recorded in their era
Yeah, Hakeem gets too much credit for his 2 quad-doubles. I'm sure if they had kept it, Oscar Robertson would have had dozens of them and Wilt would've had 10 or so. Maybe more.

Hakeem Olajuwon actually got close to a QUINTUPLE DOUBLE more than once during his NBA career where he added a slew of steals to go along with his doubles line or close in total points, rebounds, assists, and blocks. I was at a game at Arco in the late 80's or early 90's (can't remember exact date) where he had a freaked out line something like this: 27 pts. 15 boards 8 assists 10 blocks 8 steals
