Dexter season 5 **spoilers**

This season is pretty weak so far. I mean something needs to happen already. I'm sure they're saving everything for the second half of the season, but come on! And Lumen? Wow don't even get me started on this one. Worst character in the history of Dexter. And what's up with Dexter telling his name and personal info? This season just seems... Well... Off. Lots of sloppiness, not staying true to the codes, etc... Annoying LaGuerta/Bautista relationship as well as the Quinn/Deb relationship(although I will admit that something intense is obviously gonna transpire from this one)...

Anyhow, that's the end of my rant. I'm still gonna watch, I love this show. I just expect too much, so please save the season for me and get it back on the right track by killing off Lumen somehow!

Gotta say I totally disagree. I like Lumen, at least in part because I've always liked Julia Stiles. I think the whole idea behind all the "not staying true to the code" is reflective of the struggle Dexter is having. He stayed true to the code and the one person he truly loved died...at the hand of another serial killer. Pretty heady stuff.

I did think the first couple of episodes weren't quite up to par, but I can see now that they needed to get some stuff done, like explaining how the two kids would be written out, etc.

Hang in there, est. I think it's gonna get you back in the fold. After all, the previews of a victim running down the road in nothing but his plastic shroud were pretty interesting.
