De’Aaron Fox signs new shoe deal with Curry Brand at Under Armour

half a billion dollars when its all said and done, well done
Fox and his fam deserve it. Can't think of a more deserving family. Ja Morant can take these nuts and swallow them whole cuz they don't deserve anything more than some sweaty macadamias the way they conduct themselves. I'll even cover them in chocolate for their garbage family to make it less bitter.

I wouldn't say a single human deserves that kind of money but if someone is willing to give it to him, then by all means
Capitalism fam. I'll be perfectly honest with you, athletes get a lot of shame for what they make but in the grand scheme of things they are small fry compared to the elite rich of our society who do even less.

I work for a certain state agency where I can view tax returns and I see what people make. Athletes make absolutely dick compared to even no name individuals.

But athletes are a huge target for some unknown reason, especially as their color gets darker...

it's the no name individuals that try to keep it low key and some fail, others may not as much

If someone who has that much money voluntarily decides to give it to him in exchange for value, then by the very definition of the word, they deserve it.

this is a transaction where both parties potentially prosper, Fox, the upcoming young all-star ball player who is now marketable and the brand who seek more recognition. now that's not to say these shoes will sell off the racks but it's a long term investment.

Well, now that Fox has a superstar level endorsement deal, maybe Silver will tell the refs to chill with the rookie treatment.

And I'm only half joking :D

Unironically this is kind of how it works. The NBA has "partners" in these shoe companies - and so, to help promote these star spokesmen athletes, they will get better treatment from the refs, and that might spill over to the rest of our team.

It's just how the game is played folks.

Great for Fox. I was hoping he could “replace” Ja’s role on Nike because they know how to market their PGs. But now it’s up to UA to know how to market him. There’s no reason why he can’t be the next face of elite PG talent

Great piece. Some good info:

The aforementioned signature sneaker is being designed in conjunction with Fox by rising Curry Brand designer Ed Wallace and is slated to release sometime during the Fall 2024 launch window.

Not only will Fox become just the fourth basketball athlete to receive his own signature shoe with Under Armour, but the Curry and Fox partnership also marks the first time in league history that an active NBA player has signed another current player to a signature shoe deal under their own brand.
