Colby Jones took full advantage of the NBA preseason to showcase his talent and prove he belongs in the league. Not only did he prove he could play, but the 21-year-old rookie is making a strong case to be a part of the Kings' rotation during the 2023-24 season. On a night when De'Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and Keegan Murray sat out, it was the No. 34 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft who shined on the Golden 1 Center floor Thursday night for Sacramento's final preseason game. Jones finished with 19 points on 53.8 percent shooting (7 of 13) from the field and 62.5 percent (5 of 8) from 3-point range, along with three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 24 minutes in the Kings' 116-113 win.

From what I understand the guy had been admitted to a "mental health facility" recently and had made threats to do a mass shooting. This country still has not made a concentrated effort to address the mental health side of this issue. IMO it's time to reopen those psych wards from back in the day because there are people who are frankly a danger to themselves and society walking among us too often.
