Blake Griffin's absence has come at a particularly inopportune time for the Los Angeles Clippers, who are in the midst of a challenging portion of their schedule. They'll try to slow their slide down the standings without Griffin by avoiding a fourth straight loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. The Clippers (37-21) have fared reasonably well without their leading scorer (22.5 ppg), going 4-3 in a stretch that included six games against teams in postseason position. Jamal Crawford has elevated his scoring average 15.7 from to 21.6 in that span to help compensate for Griffin's absence and the Clippers are actually averaging more points (110.0) since losing Griffin after previously scoring 106.5 per game.
