Brunson warned for "Doping"

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Monarchs forward Rebekkah Brunson received a warning Monday for using asthma medication without getting the proper clearance from anti-doping authorities.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Brunson tested positive for Salmeterol on June 5. At the time of the test, Brunson did not have an exemption to use the medication.

It is Brunson's first doping offense, and she accepted a public warning.

Glad to know that asthma is banned..because it is a condition unheard of in the Sacramento valley....:rolleyes:

Also glad they have done such a great job keeping members of Team USA clean and we haven't had major athletes needing to go to prison or have their medals stripped because they're taking asthma medications.

Get your meds approved next time B...

Hope that this will not effect her chances of making the Olympic team. Announcement of the final three positions are scheduled for Tuesday July 1st...
